People carry the coffin of late opposition leader Chokri Belaid during his funeral procession which makes its way to the nearby cemetery of El-Jellaz where Belaid is to be buried in the Djebel Jelloud district, a suburb of Tunis. Thousands of people attend the funeral while Tunis is at a near standstill, with streets deserted, shops shut and public transport at a minimum as a general strike called by a powerful trade union after Bellaid was murdered took effect.
